runway end

runway end
The end of the runway in use, identified by markings. These generally are in the form of a runway designation and threshold markings for the runway opposite to the one in use. Where the threshold is at the extremity, fittings serving as threshold lights may be used as runway-end lights. At least six red lights are provided on those runways provided with runway-edge lights.
